Advocacy Programs

Another way in which people can help us continue to provide top-quality care is through advocacy. We need support on local, state and national levels. By joining the advocacy network, you'll be kept informed about pending bills that could affect our programs. We encourage people to send emails, make phone calls and write letters to the legislature on our behalf.

WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO:
The Department of Government Relations at Connecticut Children's Medical Center is responsible for a number of 'behind-the-scenes' activities that help assure that Connecticut's kids get the very best care.

The Government Relations team consists of Ann Taylor, Director of Government Relations, Jane Baird, Advocacy Coordinator, and Jerilyn Veronesi, Executive Associate. Our responsibilities include advocating for child-friendly policies at the Connecticut General Assembly and the United States Congress, interpreting legal decisions made by the judicial system and interacting with regulatory agencies.
