- Available to children and their families on both an
inpatient and outpatient basis.
Provides crisis intervention.
- Promotes adjustment to diagnosis.
- Facilitates communication among staff, state
agencies and families on child protection issues.
- Provides individual, family and group therapy.
- Assists in adjustment around areas of loss and
bereavement.
- Advocates with community agencies on behalf of
families.
- Educates school staff and students in implications
of medical diagnosis and the child’s adjustment.
- Advocates for school programming.
- Conducts psycho-educational groups.
- Provides appropriate financial and community
resource referrals.
- Functions as a link between family and medical team.
