• Available to children and their families on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  Provides crisis intervention.
• Promotes adjustment to diagnosis.
• Facilitates communication among staff, state agencies and families on child protection issues.
• Provides individual, family and group therapy.
• Assists in adjustment around areas of loss and bereavement.
• Advocates with community agencies on behalf of families.
• Educates school staff and students in implications of medical diagnosis and the child’s adjustment.
• Advocates for school programming.
• Conducts psycho-educational groups.
• Provides appropriate financial and community resource referrals.
• Functions as a link between family and medical team.
