The Child Health Data Center, a program of the office of Research, offers expertise in epidemiology, database design and implementation, program evaluation, focus group and other qualitative methods, geographic information systems analysis of health topics, and policy analysis. Founded in 1996 through a grant from the Aetna Foundation, the Center is active in projects both within Connecticut Children's Medical Center and throughout the region and state. The Data Center offers informal statistical seminars quarterly, devoted to specific topics in statistical analysis, sampling and design.
The Data Center publishes a newsletter Child Health Matters, twice yearly compiling information from diverse sources to present the latest research findings, analyses and policy decisions on topics of interest to pediatric providers, child advocates and others concerned with child health.
